Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Chartered Accountant to join our team at Nahar Jain & Associates. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of accounting, taxation, GST, statutory audits and financial reporting, along with the ability to independently handle client assignments.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle Income Tax Return (ITR) preparation and filing for individuals, firms, companies and trusts.
- Manage GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns and reconciliations.
- Handle GST notices, Income Tax notices and departmental representations.
- Conduct statutory audits, tax audits and internal audits.
- Prepare financial statements, Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Accounts and audit reports.
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax Act, GST Act and Companies Act.
- Handle tax planning, financial analysis and client advisory services.
- Independently manage client assignments and coordinate with clients.
- Supervise and guide junior accountants and audit staff.

Required Qualifications

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI).
- Good practical exposure to taxation, GST and auditing.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and statutory compliance.




- Experience in handling multiple client assignments independently.

Essential Skills & Qualities

- Solid technical knowledge of Income Tax and GST provisions.
- Practical experience in statutory audit and tax audit.
- Excellent working knowledge of Tally, MS Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to analyse financial statements and identify discrepancies.
- Good drafting skills for notices, replies and representations.
- Strong communication and client-handling skills.
- Leadership qualities and ability to manage a team.
- Positive time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Professional ethics, integrity and responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments.
- Willingness to learn and keep updated with changes in tax laws.

Preferred Candidate

- Candidates with experience in a CA firm will be preferred.
- Experience in handling GST and Income Tax assessments and appeals will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with valuable client-management and team-handling capabilities are preferred.
