## Electrical Design Engineer / Diploma Engineer – EPLAN & AutoCAD

**Employment Type:** Full-time, Permanent Level1 or Level2

**Qualification:** B.E or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

**Experience:** 1–2 years preferred; freshers with relevant knowledge may also apply

Freshers will have an internship period of 6 months with Rs.10,000 as monthly stipend.

### 1. About Synapse Robotics

Synapse Robotics is a Robotics System Integration company delivering turnkey industrial automation solutions. Our work includes robotic palletizing, machine tending, case packaging and customized automation systems for manufacturing industries.

We are looking for a dedicated Electrical Design professional who is interested in developing solid technical expertise, taking ownership of design deliverables and building a long-term career in industrial automation and robotics.

### 2. Job Purpose

To prepare accurate electrical drawings, control panel layouts, electrical schematics and wiring documentation using EPLAN and AutoCAD for robotic automation projects, ensuring that designs meet project specifications, safety requirements and manufacturing standards.

### 3. Key Responsibilities

**A. Electrical Design and Drafting**

- Prepare electrical circuit diagrams, control schematics and wiring diagrams using EPLAN and AutoCAD.

- Develop electrical panel layouts, general arrangement drawings and component mounting layouts.

- Prepare power distribution, control circuit, terminal and interconnection diagrams.

- Create cable schedules, wire lists, terminal plans, bills of materials (BOMs) and electrical component lists.

- Incorporate revisions and maintain accurate drawing versions and project documentation.

**B. Robotics and Automation Projects**

- Support electrical design for robotic cells, machine tending, palletizing and case packaging systems.

- Assist in designing electrical systems involving PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, sensors, actuators, drives, motors and safety devices.

- Coordinate with mechanical design, controls engineering, procurement, panel fabrication and assembly teams.





- Understand project requirements and convert inputs from the electrical design or controls engineer into complete electrical drawings.

- Support panel assembly, machine wiring, installation and commissioning teams by resolving drawing-related queries.

**C. Design Quality and Documentation**

- Follow company drawing standards, templates, naming conventions and revision-control procedures.

- Ensure correctness of electrical connections, component ratings, wire numbers, terminal numbers and cross-references.

- Check drawings for completeness before releasing them for manufacturing or assembly.

- Maintain organized project folders and ensure that the latest approved drawings are available to the relevant teams.

- Incorporate feedback from design reviews and lessons learned from completed projects.

**D. Continuous Learning and Improvement**

- Develop proficiency in EPLAN and AutoCAD through practical project assignments.

- Learn industrial electrical components, control panel design practices, PLC hardware and industrial automation systems.

- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions.

- Identify opportunities to improve drawing accuracy, standardization and design efficiency.

### 4. Technical Skills Required

- Working knowledge of EPLAN Electric P8 or a willingness to develop proficiency through training.

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting.

- Basic understanding of electrical circuits, electrical components and control panels.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

- Basic knowledge of PLCs, sensors, relays, contactors, MCBs, MCCBs, power supplies, VFDs and motors.

- Familiarity with electrical BOMs, wire numbering, terminal numbering and cable schedules.

- Basic understanding of industrial electrical safety and applicable standards.

- Working knowledge of MS Excel and organized technical documentation.

### 5. Educational Qualification





- B.E or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

- Candidates with practical project experience in electrical drafting or industrial automation will be preferred.

- Quality of BOMs, wiring diagrams and project documentation.

- Ability to work independently at the expected skill level.

- Improvement in EPLAN and AutoCAD proficiency.

- Coordination with other departments and responsiveness to project requirements.

- Progress against the employee's individual skill development plan.
