Job Description – Junior Pharmacist / Pharmacy Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Junior Pharmacist / Pharmacy Assistant to support the daily operations of our pharmacy, ensuring accurate dispensing, proper inventory management, and efficient patient service.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in dispensing medicines as per valid prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Support day-to-day pharmacy operations, including billing, stock management, and record maintenance.
- Monitor medicine stock levels, expiry dates, and storage conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of medicine purchases, sales, and inventory.
- Coordinate with suppliers for medicine orders and stock replenishment.
- Ensure proper storage of medicines, including refrigerated medications.
- Assist patients with pharmacy-related queries and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist or doctor.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization,



and compliance with pharmacy safety standards.
- Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare staff for smooth pharmacy operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Educational Qualification: D.Pharm / B.Pharm preferred.
- Valid Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration required for independent pharmacist duties.
- Freshers and candidates with previous hospital or retail pharmacy experience may apply.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with pharmacy billing software.
- Positive communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail, honesty, and willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of commonly prescribed medications.
- Experience in pharmacy billing and inventory management.
- Ability to work independently within the permitted scope of the role and as part of a healthcare team.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
