Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer – MEP to prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and quotations for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing projects. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing drawings, calculating quantities, analysing project costs, and coordinating with procurement and project teams to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP projects, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and related systems.
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, and MEP drawings.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
- Calculate material, labour, equipment, and installation costs.
- Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare rate analysis, cost breakdowns, and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with the design, procurement, and project teams to clarify technical requirements.
- Identify scope gaps, variations, and discrepancies in tender documents.
- Prepare tender submissions and ensure compliance with client requirements.
- Maintain estimation records, cost databases, and historical project data.




- Assist in value engineering and cost optimisation without compromising quality.
- Follow up with clients and internal teams regarding tender clarifications and revised quotations.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting.
- Proficiency in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel; familiarity with estimation software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet submission deadlines.

Eligibility Criteria

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Relevant experience in MEP estimation, tendering, or quantity surveying is preferred.
- Experience in commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, or other MEP projects is an advantage.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge may be considered for trainee positions.
