JOB DESCRIPTION – INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Designation: Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Engineer

Job Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of CNC, VMC, welding, grinding, laser cutting and sheet metal folding machines.
- Inspect machines regularly to ensure smooth operation and minimize production downtime.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems.
- Maintain CNC and VMC machine components, spindles, motors, drives, tool changers and lubrication systems.
- Handle maintenance of welding machines, including MIG, TIG and ARC welding equipment.
- Inspect and maintain grinding machines, motors, bearings, belts and grinding components.
- Maintain laser cutting machines, including laser source, cutting head, cooling system, air compressor and gas supply systems.
- Perform maintenance of sheet metal folding machines, hydraulic systems, control panels and operating mechanisms.
- Check machine alignment, calibration, lubrication, coolant levels and safety systems.
- Attend emergency machine breakdowns and complete repairs within the minimum possible time.
- Coordinate with production teams to plan preventive maintenance without affecting production schedules.
- Maintain daily maintenance checklists, breakdown reports and preventive maintenance records.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and inform the department head about required maintenance materials.
- Ensure electrical and mechanical safety standards are followed during maintenance activities.




- Support machine installation, commissioning, shifting and trial production activities.
- Identify recurring machine problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure 5S, housekeeping and workplace safety in the maintenance department.

Technical Skills Required

- CNC and VMC machine maintenance.
- Welding machine maintenance (MIG, TIG and ARC).
- Grinding machine maintenance.
- Laser cutting machine maintenance.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting.
- Electrical panel and motor troubleshooting.
- PLC, sensors, drives and control systems knowledge.
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Mechanical fitting, alignment and lubrication.

Qualification & Experience

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial machine maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering industries preferred.
- Ability to handle independent troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance.

- Minimum machine breakdown and downtime.
- Timely completion of preventive maintenance.
- Reduction in repeated machine failures.
- Machine availability and production efficiency.
- Proper maintenance documentation.
- Safety compliance and 5S implementation.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
