Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Forging Incharge to manage daily forging operations, ensure production targets, maintain product quality, manage manpower, and ensure compliance with safety standards in an automobile components manufacturing unit.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily forging production activities and achieve production targets as per the production plan.
- Handle forging machines, presses, hammers, heating furnaces, and related equipment.
- Ensure proper die setting, die changeover, and process parameter control.
- Monitor forging temperature, material flow, cycle time, and process efficiency.
- Ensure product quality and minimize rejection, rework, and material wastage.
- Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, PPC, and Stores departments.
- Supervise operators, helpers, and other shop-floor manpower.
- Ensure proper shift planning, manpower allocation, and machine utilization.
- Maintain production reports, rejection reports, downtime records, and daily shift reports.
- Identify production problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.




- Ensure preventive maintenance of forging machines, dies, and associated equipment in coordination with the Maintenance Department.
- Ensure compliance with 5S, workplace housekeeping, and industrial safety standards.
- Ensure proper handling of hot materials, PPE usage, and secure machine operation.
- Support process improvement, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain process documentation and support internal and customer audits, wherever applicable.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of forging processes and automobile components manufacturing.
- Experience in production planning and shop-floor management.
- Knowledge of die setting, furnace operations, and forging defects.
- Ability to control rejection, improve productivity, and manage manpower.
- Good coordination, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of 5S, safety practices, and quality systems.

Preferred Experience

Experience in hot forging and manufacturing of tractor, JCB, or other automobile components will be preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
