Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Proposal & Estimation Manager with a strong background in static equipment and cryogenic equipment. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing customer enquiries, preparing technical and commercial proposals, estimating project costs, coordinating with engineering and procurement teams, and ensuring timely submission of accurate and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead proposal preparation, estimation, costing and tendering activities for industrial equipment and engineering projects.
- Review customer enquiries, RFQs, technical specifications, scope of work and contractual requirements.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, cost estimates, budgets and bid submissions.
- Handle proposals for static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, columns, reactors and other process equipment.
- Work on cryogenic equipment and systems, including cryogenic storage tanks, vessels and related equipment, where applicable.
- Estimate material, fabrication, welding, machining, bought-out items, inspection, testing, manpower, overheads and other project costs.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, production, quality and project teams to obtain technical inputs and cost details.
- Review technical deviations, customer specifications, applicable codes and standards, and project-specific requirements.




- Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors, evaluate offers and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
- Prepare cost sheets, techno-commercial comparisons, pricing summaries and management approval documents.
- Identify commercial risks, cost variations, scope gaps and opportunities to improve bid competitiveness.
- Participate in technical and commercial discussions with customers and support negotiations until order finalization.
- Guide and coordinate the proposal and estimation team, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of bids.
- Maintain proposal records, costing databases and historical pricing information.

Required Skills and Experience

- 10–15 years of experience in proposal engineering, estimation, costing or tendering within heavy engineering, EPC or process equipment manufacturing.
- Solid, hands-on experience with static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, columns and reactors.
- Relevant exposure to cryogenic equipment, particularly cryogenic vessels and storage tanks, is important.
- Good understanding of fabrication processes, material selection, welding, inspection, testing and quality requirements.
- Experience in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, BOQs, RFQs and customer requirements.
- Strong knowledge of material costing, fabrication costing, vendor quotations and commercial evaluation.
- Experience coordinating with engineering, procurement, production and quality teams.
- Good negotiation, analytical, communication and team-management skills.

Pay: Up to ₹500,000.00 per year
