Senior Python Backend / Platform Engineer

Econexa Solutions Private Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Python Backend / Platform Engineer to support and enhance an established, confidential web platform.

The role focuses on backend development, API integrations, database management, automated testing, troubleshooting, security, and final platform improvements. We are looking for a technically strong engineer who can work confidently within an existing codebase and deliver reliable, well-tested solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and optimise Python backend services.
- Design, integrate, and troubleshoot REST APIs.
- Manage Supabase and PostgreSQL databases, authentication, storage, permissions, and data access.
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot backend services on Render.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Work with Git, GitHub pull requests, CI pipelines, and code reviews.
- Implement secure access controls, audit trails, and reliable data-handling practices.
- Diagnose technical issues and deliver focused, maintainable code improvements.
- Document changes, testing outcomes, and technical decisions.





Required Skills & Experience

- Strong professional experience in Python backend development.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Supabase, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on Render.
- Proficiency in automated testing and debugging.
- Solid understanding of Git/GitHub workflows and CI checks.
- Knowledge of secure application architecture, permissions, and data integrity.
- Ability to work independently within an existing software platform.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with multi-tenant web applications and complex business workflows.
- Experience testing file uploads, version-controlled records, and end-to-end user journeys.
- Familiarity with frontend development using the platform's existing framework.

A senior engineer with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a testing-first mindset who can identify issues, improve platform reliability, and deliver clearly documented, verified solutions.

Project details will be shared with selected candidate only.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
