POS Software Operator / Retail Billing & Inventory Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and computer-savvy POS Software Operator to manage billing, sales, purchase entries, inventory, and day-to-day operations through our retail POS software.

The candidate should have practical knowledge of RetailSoft or any other retail/POS software and should be comfortable handling billing and inventory-related tasks accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and manage the POS / Retail Software for daily store operations.
- Handle customer billing, sales entries, returns, exchanges, and payment transactions.
- Make accurate purchase entries in the software.
- Maintain and update inventory/stock records.
- Monitor stock levels and identify low-stock, excess-stock, and fast-moving items.
- Enter and maintain product details, prices, barcodes, quantities, GST/tax details, and other item information.
- Perform stock adjustments and inventory corrections when required.
- Check and maintain accuracy between physical stock and software stock.
- Assist with daily sales reports, purchase reports, stock reports, and other MIS reports.
- Coordinate with the purchase/store team regarding incoming stock and discrepancies.
- Ensure all billing and inventory entries are accurate and completed on time.
- Handle POS-related issues and coordinate with the software/service provider when required.
- Maintain proper records and follow the company's billing and inventory procedures.

Customer Handling – During Peak Hours





- Assist customers with billing and basic queries during peak hours or busy periods.
- Maintain a polite, professional, and helpful attitude with customers.
- Ensure fast and accurate billing without compromising transaction accuracy.
- Support the billing counter/team whenever additional assistance is required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Previous experience as a POS Operator, Billing Executive, Retail Software Operator, or similar role is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of RetailSoft or any other retail POS software.
- Knowledge of sales entry, purchase entry, inventory management, stock adjustment, and billing.
- Basic computer knowledge is essential.
- Good typing and data-entry skills.
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to identify and resolve basic billing or stock-entry errors.
- Positive communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy/peak hours.
- Honest, responsible, punctual, and willing to learn.

Preferred Experience

1–3 years of experience in a supermarket, retail store, grocery store, or similar business will be an advantage.

Significant

The candidate should be capable of independently handling the complete POS software workflow, including:

Purchase Entry → Stock/Inventory Management → Sales/Billing → Returns/Adjustments → Reports

Pay: From ₹7,000.00 per month
