We are looking for an experienced and service-oriented Senior Steward / Waitress who can provide attentive table service, maintain high hospitality standards, and ensure guest satisfaction.

Job Description

The Senior Steward / Waitress will be responsible for providing professional food and beverage service, assisting guests with menu selections, maintaining table presentation, and coordinating with the kitchen and restaurant service team. The ideal candidate should have prior restaurant service experience, excellent guest-handling skills, professional grooming, and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests warmly and provide courteous, professional service throughout their dining experience.
- Explain menu items, ingredients, portion sizes, and daily specials to guests.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages according to fine-dining service standards.
- Ensure proper table setup, cutlery placement, napkin folding, and table presentation.
- Monitor guest requirements and provide prompt, attentive service.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and F&B; Captain to ensure timely order delivery.
- Handle guest requests and resolve basic service concerns professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of tables, service stations, and dining areas.




- Assist with table clearance, resetting, and preparation for incoming guests.
- Support suggestive selling by recommending suitable dishes, beverages, and menu specials.
- Assist with billing and payment coordination when required.
- Follow restaurant SOPs, food safety guidelines, and service etiquette.

Required Skills

- Positive knowledge of restaurant table service and fine-dining etiquette.
- Strong communication and guest-handling skills.
- Professional grooming, presentation, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to explain menu items and make suitable recommendations.
- Teamwork, punctuality, and time-management skills.
- Basic knowledge of POS billing systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy restaurant service hours.

Eligibility Criteria

- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in restaurant service, preferably in a premium restaurant, hotel, or fine-dining establishment.
- Education: Hospitality or Hotel Management qualification preferred.
- Communication: Bengali and Hindi; basic English communication preferred.
- Gender: Candidates of any gender may apply.
- Availability: Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Location: Candidates from Siliguri and nearby areas are preferred.
