Maintenance Engineer – CNC/VMC Machines

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with strong hands-on experience in core CNC machine handling and maintenance to ensure the smooth operation, reliability, and performance of production machinery.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of core CNC machine handling experience, along with practical expertise in CNC/VMC machine maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and breakdown maintenance. Experience in automotive component manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or aerospace manufacturing will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of CNC/VMC machines and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues involving spindle assemblies, ATC (Automatic Tool Changer), coolant systems, hydraulics, lubrication systems, and ball screws.
- Carry out machine levelling, spindle bearing replacement, and other critical mechanical maintenance activities.
- Identify root causes of machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules to improve machine reliability and productivity.
- Monitor machine performance and ensure production equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and relevant technical documentation.
- Follow applicable machine safety procedures and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.




- 5–8 years of overall relevant maintenance experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on core CNC machine handling and maintenance experience – mandatory.
- Strong practical knowledge of CNC/VMC machines and mechanical systems.
- Experience with spindle assemblies, ATC, coolant systems, hydraulics, lubrication systems, and ball screws.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical troubleshooting, breakdown maintenance, and preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of machine levelling and spindle bearing replacement.
- Understanding of PLC systems, pneumatics, and machine controls.
- Experience working in the maintenance department of an automotive component manufacturing company is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in automotive component, precision, or aerospace manufacturing.
- Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices.
- Exposure to quality audits and ISO/AS9100 standards.

Key Requirement

Candidates must have at least 5 years of direct, hands-on core CNC machine handling experience. Candidates with only general facility maintenance or unrelated equipment maintenance experience may not be suitable for this role.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
