Structural Design Engineer – Onshore & Offshore Oil & Gas

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Structural Design Engineers to work on onshore and offshore Oil & Gas engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have robust expertise in structural analysis, steel structure design, connection design, and engineering calculations for industrial facilities and offshore structures.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform structural analysis and steel design for onshore and offshore Oil & Gas facilities.
- Design pipe racks, equipment support structures, access platforms, walkways, and industrial steel structures.
- Support structural design of offshore platforms, topsides, and modules.
- Perform structural steel connection design, including bolted and welded connections.
- Prepare structural calculations, analysis reports, and engineering documentation.
- Review structural drawings, fabrication drawings, vendor documents, and connection details.
- Apply relevant international design codes and project specifications.
- Coordinate with civil, piping, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure design quality, structural safety, and timely delivery of engineering deliverables.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.




- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering will be an added advantage.

Experience and Technical Skills

- 3–15 years of relevant experience in structural design and analysis.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, offshore, onshore, EPC, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel design and connection design.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software, such as:
- STAAD.Pro
- SAP2000
- IDEA StatiCa
- RAM Connection
- AutoCAD
- Tekla Structures
- Working knowledge of applicable standards, including AISC, ASCE, AWS, Eurocodes, and relevant offshore standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

- Refineries and petrochemical plants
- LNG and gas processing facilities
- FPSO and offshore production facilities
- Industrial steel structures and EPC projects
