Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize mission-critical databases in production environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in MySQL administration, database performance tuning, replication, backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MySQL databases.
- Administer MySQL 5.7 and MySQL 8.x in production environments.
- Configure and manage MySQL replication, including GTID, asynchronous, and semi-synchronous replication.
- Monitor database performance, health, and availability.
- Optimize SQL queries, indexing, and database performance.
- Manage database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot database issues, replication failures, and performance bottlenecks.
- Implement database security, user management, and access controls.
- Develop automation scripts using Shell or Python.
- Perform database capacity planning and storage management.




- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams.
- Support production deployments, DR drills, and on-call activities.
- Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–5+ years of hands-on MySQL DBA experience.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL 5.7 and 8.x.
- Experience in database replication, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Good understanding of Linux administration.
- Strong knowledge of SQL optimization and indexing.
- Experience with Shell scripting; Python knowledge is preferred.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Percona Monitoring and Management (PMM).
- Robust troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with MySQL Enterprise.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Experience managing large-scale production databases.
