2. Roles and Responsibilities

A. Emergency Care Responsibilities

- Assist doctors and nurses during emergency situations.
- Receive and transfer emergency patients safely.
- Assist in basic life support (BLS) and CPR under authorized clinical supervision.
- Prepare emergency equipment, crash carts and necessary medical supplies.
- Assist with oxygen administration and nebulization as per doctor's or nurse's instructions and hospital protocol.
- Monitor and report vital signs such as BP, pulse, temperature, SpO2 and respiratory rate as assigned.
- Assist during patient shifting for investigations and procedures.
- Ensure emergency equipment is ready for immediate use.

B. Critical Care / ICU Responsibilities

- Assist nursing staff in caring for critically ill patients.
- Assist with patient positioning, bed making and basic patient care.
- Assist in monitoring patients and promptly report any abnormal readings.
- Help prepare and maintain monitors, oxygen devices, suction apparatus and other ICU equipment.
- Assist during intubation, ventilator support and other emergency procedures under clinical supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of patient care equipment.
- Follow infection prevention and control practices.

C. Equipment Maintenance





- Check the working condition of emergency and ICU equipment.
- Ensure availability of oxygen cylinders and suction equipment.
- Report equipment malfunction immediately.
- Maintain equipment checklists and records.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of medical equipment.

3. Documentation and NABH Responsibilities

- Maintain emergency equipment checklists.
- Record assigned patient monitoring details accurately.
- Follow hospital policies and NABH standards.
- Follow biomedical waste management guidelines.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Report incidents, near misses and safety concerns to the concerned in-charge.

4. Qualifications

- Diploma / Certificate in Emergency Medical Technology.
- Diploma in Critical Care Technology or equivalent qualification.
- B.Sc. Emergency and Trauma Care Technology (preferred).
- Relevant hospital experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training preferred.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
