About the role

We are looking for a hands-on engineer to design, build, and deploy AI agents and intelligent automation across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365FO), Azure, and Microsoft 365.

You will create solutions that help users retrieve ERP information, make informed decisions, and complete business processes through natural-language interactions and automated workflows. Your work will include agent experiences within D365FO, using supported extensibility options, and agents accessed through Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and external applications.

This role combines ERP integration, AI engineering, and business process automation. You should be comfortable taking a use case from discovery and architecture through development, deployment, and ongoing support.

What you will do

- Build AI agents that interact securely with D365FO data, business logic, and transactions.

- Develop agent experiences within D365FO and across Teams, Microsoft 365, and connected applications.

- Use Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, Power Automate, and custom development to deliver reliable business solutions.

- Connect agents to ERP capabilities through supported APIs, OData, custom services, business events, and Model Context Protocol (MCP), where supported.

- Integrate ERP workflows with SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 services through Microsoft Graph and supported connectors.

- Design knowledge retrieval solutions grounded in business documents and enterprise data.

- Implement approvals, access controls, audit trails, error handling, and recovery for agent-driven actions.

- Work with finance, procurement, supply chain, and operations teams to identify valuable automation opportunities.

- Test agent accuracy, permissions, reliability, response time, and operating cost before production deployment.

- Own deployment pipelines, monitoring, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.





Examples of solutions you may be required build

- An assistant that answers vendor, customer, purchase order, invoice, or inventory questions using authorised ERP data.

- An agent that investigates invoice exceptions and prepares recommended actions for approval.

- A Teams-based assistant that initiates approved ERP processes and tracks their progress.

- An automation that connects emails and SharePoint documents to ERP workflows.

- An event-driven agent that identifies business exceptions, gathers supporting information, and routes actions to the right person.

Essential experience

- Hands-on technical experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including Finance and/or Supply Chain Management.

- Strong understanding of D365FO integration patterns, data entities, OData, custom services, and business events.

- Practical experience delivering AI agents or generative AI applications that connect to enterprise systems and perform useful business actions.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure OpenAI or comparable Azure AI services.

- Experience with Power Automate and Azure integration services such as Logic Apps, Functions, or Service Bus.

- Strong development skills in C#/.NET or Python, with experience building and consuming REST APIs.

- Understanding of tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt design, and agent evaluation.

- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth, application identities, and role-based access.





- Ability to preserve ERP business rules and user permissions when designing automated actions.

- Experience deploying and supporting production applications using source control and CI/CD.

- Transparent communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into working solutions.

Desirable experience

- X++ development and D365FO extension development.

- Dynamics 365 ERP MCP tools and custom AI tools that expose ERP business logic.

- Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility, Microsoft Graph, and Teams application development.

- Dataverse, Power Apps, and Power Platform administration.

- Azure AI Search and document processing solutions.

- Azure API Management, Key Vault, and Application Insights.

- Agent development frameworks or SDKs, such as Semantic Kernel or Microsoft agent tooling.

- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, inventory, or financial close processes.

- Relevant Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365, Azure, AI, or Power Platform.

You do not need experience with every tool listed. Strong D365FO integration expertise, practical AI delivery experience, and sound engineering judgment are the priorities.

- Solutions produce measurable improvements in processing time, manual effort, or exception resolution.
