The Role
There is no cold call. You will own the inquiries assigned to you from first contact through to a confirmed, paid booking.
An agent sends us an inquiry because they have a client they want to keep. Your job is to make that agent look good - understand what their guest actually wants, design a Finland itinerary that fits, price it correctly, and close it. Then hand it cleanly to our operations team so the trip on the ground matches the trip you sold.
This is a consultative sales role, not a quotation desk. The consultants who do well here are the ones who pick up the phone before they open a spreadsheet.
What You Will Own
- Your inquiries, end to end - from the agent’s first message to a confirmed booking, and the relationship that follows it.
- Understanding the brief properly - speaking to the agent before quoting: who the guests are, what the occasion is, what matters to them, and where the budget really sits.
- Designing the itinerary - day-by-day Finland programmes built on our contracted hotels, transfers and experiences, matched to season, pace and star category.
- Pricing with margin discipline - costing accurately, protecting margin, and raising commercial exceptions with your manager rather than solving them with a discount.
- Following up with structure until the file is won or properly closed. Nothing goes quiet on your watch.
- Clean handovers to our reservations and ground teams, so operations inherit a file with no gaps.
- Growing your agent relationships - repeat business from a happy agent is worth more than a new inquiry.
- Feeding the market back to us - what agents are asking for, what competitors are quoting, where we’re losing and why.
What We Are Looking ForEssential
- 3–4 years of B2B travel sales experience - selling to travel agents, tour operators or corporate buyers. A purely direct-to-consumer background will find the agent relationship layer unfamiliar.
- A track record of carrying a sales target and meeting it.
- Solid costing and itinerary skills - land cost, markup, margin, seasonality, and the difference between building an FIT file and a group.
- Robust spoken and written English, and genuine confidence on the phone.
- Comfort working to service commitments and keeping your pipeline organised and visible.
Preferred
- DMC-side experience - you understand what a DMC can and cannot promise, and why.
- Europe destination selling. Nordics, Finland or Lapland experience is a strong advantage.
- Exposure to the Gulf or German outbound markets alongside India.
- Working knowledge of a travel CRM.
- An additional language - German, or Hindi plus a regional Indian language.
How you work
- You stay responsive and organised when several files land at once.
- You are precise about detail, because in Lapland a wrong transfer time is not a small error.
- You are warm with agents and straightforward with your manager, particularly about problems.
This Role Is Probably Not For You If
- You want a support layer between you and the agent.
- You would rather send an email than have a conversation.
- You reach for a discount before you reach for a better itinerary.
- You want a broad multi-destination portfolio - this is Finland, in depth.
- You need the structure and specialisation of a large organisation. We are lean and founder-led; you will build as much as you execute.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
