Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Grade 2 Mathematics Teacher with experience in the Cambridge Primary Curriculum. The ideal candidate should be capable of creating an engaging and interactive learning workplace that develops students' mathematical understanding, logical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and confidence with numbers.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum for Grade 2.
- Teach fundamental mathematical concepts, including numbers, place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, shapes, measurement, time, money, and basic data handling.
- Use activity-based learning, games, manipulatives, visual aids, and real-life examples to make mathematical concepts easy to understand.
- Develop students' numeracy, logical thinking, mental mathematics, and problem-solving skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and classroom activities according to the curriculum requirements.
- Assess students' learning through classwork, homework, formative assessments, and periodic evaluations.
- Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support to students who require additional assistance.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that encourages participation and independent learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues,



academic coordinators, and school leadership to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, training sessions, and other academic activities.
- Integrate digital learning tools and innovative teaching strategies to enhance students' mathematical understanding.

Educational Qualifications

- Post Graduation degree in Mathematics, Education, or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. or an equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
- Additional training or certification in the Cambridge Primary Curriculum will be an advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in Primary Mathematics.
- Experience teaching the Cambridge Primary Curriculum is preferred.
- Experience handling Grade 1 or Grade 2 students will be an added advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

- Strong subject knowledge in primary-level Mathematics.
- Good understanding of child-centred and activity-based teaching methodologies.
- Ability to simplify mathematical concepts for young learners.
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction according to students' learning abilities.
- Proficiency in preparing lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for teaching young children.
