Roles and responsibilities1. Production planning and control

- Plan daily and monthly production according to customer orders and dispatch schedules.
- Monitor production of coco peat blocks, briquettes, grow bags, and other coco peat products.
- Allocate manpower, machinery, and raw materials to each production line.
- Achieve daily production targets while minimizing downtime.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager to resolve production delays.

2. Raw material management

- Check the availability and quality of raw materials such as raw coco peat, coir pith, and other required inputs.
- Monitor raw material consumption and stock levels.
- Prevent material loss and unnecessary wastage during production.
- Coordinate with the stores and purchase departments to ensure uninterrupted production.

3. Quality control

- Ensure the finished products meet customer specifications.
- Monitor key quality parameters, such as:
- Moisture content
- pH and electrical conductivity (EC)
- Fibre content and physical appearance
- Block weight, dimensions, and compression
- Expansion and consistency, where applicable
- Ensure proper screening, washing, drying, and grading as required by the product specification.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team to correct quality deviations.

4. Manpower and team management

- Supervise production supervisors, machine operators, helpers, and packing workers.
- Assign duties according to production requirements.
- Monitor worker attendance, discipline, and productivity.
- Train employees on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Resolve shop-floor issues and maintain teamwork.

5. Machinery and maintenance

- Monitor the operation of sieving machines,



dryers, presses, baling machines, and packing equipment.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance with the maintenance team.
- Identify machine breakdowns and arrange corrective action.
- Reduce machine downtime and improve equipment utilization.

6. Production reports and documentation

- Prepare daily production reports and shift-wise output reports.
- Record raw material consumption, finished goods, wastage, and machine downtime.
- Track production targets against actual output.
- Maintain batch records, stock details, and quality inspection reports.
- Submit daily and monthly performance reports to the Production Manager.

7. Packing, storage, and dispatch

- Ensure correct weight, compression, labeling, and packing of coco peat blocks or grow bags.
- Verify finished goods against customer orders.
- Coordinate with the warehouse, QC, and dispatch teams.
- Ensure products are stored properly and dispatched on time.

8. Safety and housekeeping

- Ensure workers use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the production area.
- Follow workplace safety rules and company procedures.
- Identify unsafe conditions and report incidents promptly.

9. Cost control and productivity improvement

- Reduce raw material wastage, electricity consumption, and unnecessary labor costs.
- Improve production output per worker and per machine.
- Analyze production problems and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement activities such as 5S and process optimization.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
