Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Slitting Machine Operator with 6 months to 4 years of experience in operating and handling slitting machines in a manufacturing or production environment. The candidate will be responsible for machine operation, material slitting, maintaining product quality, and ensuring production targets are achieved while following safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor slitting machines as per production requirements.
- Set up the machine, adjust blades, and configure slitting width according to job specifications.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished rolls safely.
- Ensure accurate slitting dimensions and maintain product quality.
- Inspect finished materials for defects, wrinkles, uneven edges, and other quality issues.
- Monitor machine performance and report any breakdowns or abnormalities.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance of the machine.
- Maintain production records, material usage, and shift reports.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the production area.
- Coordinate with the production supervisor and quality team to meet daily production targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months to 4 years of experience as a Slitting Machine Operator or in a similar production role.
- Basic knowledge of slitting machine operation, blade setting, and roll handling.
- Ability to understand job specifications and maintain required slitting dimensions.
- Knowledge of basic quality inspection and machine troubleshooting.
- Ability to work in shifts, if required.
- Good attention to detail, discipline, and a safety-oriented approach.
- ITI or a technical qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience in any of the following industries will be an advantage:
- Flexible packaging
- Plastic film and laminates
- Paper and paperboard
- Aluminium foil
- Labels, adhesive tapes, or related converting industries
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Production output and achievement of daily targets.
- Slitting accuracy and finished product quality.
- Material wastage and rejection control.
- Machine downtime and operational efficiency.
- Compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
