Job Description – Junior Civil Draftsman

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Civil Draftsman to prepare, modify and maintain all types of civil and architectural drawings for residential and commercial construction projects. The candidate should have basic knowledge of civil engineering drawings, AutoCAD drafting and construction detailing.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare all types of civil engineering and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare architectural drawings, including:
- Floor plans
- Elevation drawings
- Section drawings
- Site plans and layout drawings
- Working drawings
- Prepare structural drawings, including:
- Foundation drawings
- Column and beam layouts
- Slab drawings
- Footing details
- Staircase details
- Prepare detailed drawings for RCC and concrete structures.
- Prepare electrical and plumbing layout drawings.
- Prepare door, window and staircase detailing drawings.
- Prepare compound wall, boundary and site development drawings.
- Modify and update drawings based on engineer and project team instructions.
- Coordinate with civil engineers, architects and site engineers to understand drawing requirements.




- Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site conditions.
- Maintain proper drawing records, revisions and documentation.
- Ensure accuracy, dimensions, measurements and drawing standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI / Certificate in Civil Drafting or Civil Engineering.
- Basic to good knowledge of AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Knowledge of all civil-related drawings and construction details.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of RCC, structural and architectural detailing.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of Revit / SketchUp.
- Understanding of BOQ and quantity take-off.
- Practical knowledge of residential and commercial construction drawings.

Reporting To

Senior Civil Engineer / Project Coordinator.

Key Requirement: The candidate must be capable of preparing and modifying all civil-related drawings, from basic architectural plans to structural and construction working drawings, under the guidance of senior engineers.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
