Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Image Management Engineer with approximately 6 years of experience in enterprise endpoint engineering, Windows image management, OS deployment, and device provisioning. The role will be responsible for designing, building, testing, maintaining, and deploying standardized Windows operating system images and modern provisioning solutions across enterprise devices. The candidate should have hands-on experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Windows ADK, WinPE, PowerShell, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting and automation skills and be capable of supporting large-scale device deployments, hardware refresh activities, image upgrades, and complex OS deployment issues in a global enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Image Engineering & Maintenance o Build, customize, test, maintain, and periodically refresh standardized Windows desktop and laptop images. o Ensure images incorporate approved OS configurations, drivers, required applications, security settings, and organizational standards. o Maintain image version control and technical documentation. 2. OS Deployment & Provisioning o Develop and maintain SCCM/MECM Task Sequences for automated OS deployment. o Support modern provisioning and device onboarding through Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot. o Troubleshoot OS deployment failures, task-sequence errors, provisioning issues, and post-build configuration problems. 3. Driver & Hardware Model Management o Manage drivers and configuration requirements for supported desktop and laptop hardware models. o Test new hardware models for image compatibility and deployment readiness. o Coordinate with Device Lifecycle and Asset Management teams during device refresh and hardware rollout activities. 4.



Image Testing & Quality Assurance o Perform functional and compatibility testing before releasing new or updated images into production. o Validate critical applications, security controls, network connectivity, policies, drivers, and device-management components. o Support pilot deployments and resolve issues before enterprise-wide release. 5. Image Lifecycle & Windows Upgrade Management o Maintain the image lifecycle in line with supported Windows versions and organizational requirements. o Support Windows feature updates, OS migrations, device rebuilds, and reimaging activities. o Identify outdated image components and coordinate required remediation. 6. Automation & Scripting o Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate imaging, configuration, validation, deployment, and remediation activities. o Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention and improve build consistency and deployment reliability. 7. Incident & Problem Management o Provide L2 support for complex imaging, OS deployment, provisioning, driver, and device-build issues. o Perform root-cause analysis of recurring deployment failures and implement corrective actions. o Work with Service Desk, Desktop Engineering, Security, Network, and application teams to resolve cross-functional problems. 8. Documentation & Operational Support o Maintain build guides, SOPs, troubleshooting documentation, task-sequence documentation, and knowledge articles. o Follow established Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes for production changes.

Skill Requirements

Approximately 6 years of experience in Windows image management, endpoint engineering, EUC, desktop engineering, or OS deployment.



• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) and OS Deployment. • Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot for modern device provisioning. • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 deployment and configuration. • Experience with Windows ADK, Windows PE (WinPE), task sequences, answer files, and deployment automation. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise device management. • Experience with driver packaging and hardware-model-specific configuration. • Good PowerShell scripting and automation skills. • Strong troubleshooting skills for OS deployment, task-sequence, driver, application, network, and provisioning failures. • Understanding of UEFI, BIOS, TPM, BitLocker, Secure Boot, and related endpoint configuration concepts. • Understanding of application packaging and software deployment processes. • Valuable knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. • Ability to collaborate with Service Desk, Endpoint Management, Security, Network, Asset Management, and Device Lifecycle teams. • Experience supporting a geographically distributed global enterprise environment.

Other Requirements

Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) in environments where traditional imaging is still maintained. • Experience supporting large-scale Windows migration and hardware refresh programs. • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Windows Update for Business, BitLocker, and endpoint security baselines. • Experience transitioning organizations from traditional image-based deployment toward cloud-based provisioning using Intune and Windows Autopilot.
