Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented PDF Accessibility Quality Control (QC) Tester to inspect and validate PDF documents remediated for accessibility compliance. The candidate will ensure that documents meet accessibility standards, are properly tagged, and are usable by people with disabilities, including users of screen readers.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform quality checks on remediated PDF documents for accessibility compliance.
- Validate PDF tagging structure, including headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, links, and figures.
- Check document reading order and logical content sequence.
- Verify alternative text (Alt Text) for images, charts, and other meaningful visual elements.
- Check document title, language settings, bookmarks, hyperlinks, and metadata.
- Validate table structure, including header rows, columns, and cell associations.
- Identify missing tags, incorrect tags, tagging errors, and formatting inconsistencies.
- Check form fields and their labels, where applicable.
- Use PDF accessibility testing tools to identify and document accessibility issues.
- Perform manual accessibility checks in addition to automated validation.
- Record defects, provide clear feedback to the production team, and verify corrections.
- Ensure documents meet the required accessibility standards, such as WCAG and applicable PDF/UA requirements.
- Maintain QC reports, defect logs, productivity records, and daily quality reports.
- Meet project quality standards and client delivery timelines.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of PDF documents and document structure.




- Understanding of PDF accessibility principles and WCAG guidelines.
- Knowledge of tagged PDFs, semantic tags, reading order, and alternative text.
- Solid attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify accessibility defects and communicate them clearly.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Good written communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with production teams.

- Adobe Acrobat Pro
- PAC (PDF Accessibility Checker)
- CommonLook PDF, where applicable
- Screen readers such as NVDA or JAWS
- Microsoft Excel for QC reporting and defect tracking

Educational Qualification

- Any degree or diploma is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant training may apply.
- Candidates with experience in PDF accessibility remediation, document testing, or quality assurance will be preferred.

Experience

- Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
- Experience in PDF accessibility testing or document quality control is an advantage.

Performance Expectations

- Maintain the required quality and accuracy standards.
- Identify and report accessibility defects before client delivery.
- Complete assigned files within project timelines.
- Follow standard operating procedures and QC checklists.
- Coordinate with production team leaders to resolve recurring defects.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- QC accuracy and defect detection rate.
- Number of documents/pages checked per day.
- Defect recurrence rate.
- Rework and rejection rate.
- On-time completion of assigned work.
- Compliance with project-specific accessibility requirements.
