About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join a new café and restaurant setup in Lucknow. The ideal candidate should have strong culinary expertise, experience in Indian and Continental cuisine, and the ability to manage kitchen operations, develop menus, and maintain excellent food quality and consistency..

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee daily kitchen operations.
- Develop, plan, and update menus based on customer preferences and business requirements.
- Prepare and oversee Indian and Continental dishes while maintaining consistent taste, quality, and presentation.
- Ensure food preparation meets quality, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across the kitchen.
- Monitor food inventory, kitchen supplies, and ingredient quality.
- Manage food costs, portion control, and minimize food wastage.
- Supervise, train, and guide kitchen staff.
- Ensure consistency in recipes, preparation methods, and plating standards.




- Coordinate with the management team for menu planning and kitchen requirements.
- Support the kitchen setup and ensure smooth operations during the initial phase.

Requirements

- Minimum 8 years of relevant culinary experience, preferably in cafés, restaurants, or similar food service establishments.
- Strong expertise in Indian and Continental cuisine.
- Previous experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or in a senior kitchen leadership role.
- Experience in menu development and introducing new dishes.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
- Experience in kitchen team management, inventory control, and food cost management.
- Ability to maintain food quality and consistency during busy service hours.
- Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a full time restaurant environment.
