Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with 710 years of hands-on experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementations, custom development, and system migrations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in ABAP programming, BAPI, BADI, and Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP), along with practical experience in ECC to S/4HANA migration projects.

The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and optimizing SAP applications to support business requirements while ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain custom SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
- Participate in end-to-end SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
- Develop and implement custom solutions using BAPI, BADI, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Framework.
- Apply Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) principles to build reusable and maintainable solutions.
- Work on ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration and conversion projects, including custom code adaptation and remediation.
- Analyze existing ABAP programs and perform code optimization and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Resolve technical issues, troubleshoot production defects, and provide ongoing application support.
- Prepare technical specifications,



development documentation, and deployment plans.
- Follow SAP development standards, coding guidelines, and quality assurance practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- 7–10 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Robust experience in SAP ECC implementations and SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- Proven experience in ECC to S/4HANA migration or conversion projects.
- Strong knowledge of:
- SAP ABAP programming and custom development
- BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface)
- BADI (Business Add-Ins)
- Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP)
- User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Framework
- Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF)

- Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in an implementation environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA custom code remediation and simplification.
- Knowledge of CDS Views, OData services, and SAP Gateway.
- Exposure to ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
- Familiarity with SAP migration tools and implementation methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile or other structured project delivery environments.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
