1. Material Receiving and Inspection
- Check incoming goods: Receive materials against Purchase Orders (POs) and Delivery Challans
- Verify quality and quantity: Inspect items for physical damage, count accuracy, and basic specifications. Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) if technical clearance is needed.
- Handle discrepancies: Document and report shortages, rejections, or damaged goods immediately.
- Log entries: Record inward stock into registers, bin cards, or ERP systems like Tally/SAP (creating Goods Receipt Notes - GRN)
