About the Role We are looking for a qualified finance professional (CA or CPA) with 8+ years of experience, including exposure to global finance operations for North American entities. In this full-time, Hyderabadbased role, you will work the night shift to partner directly with US and Canada stakeholders on financial reporting, close, planning and compliance. You will own the quality and timeliness of financial outputs, strengthen controls and drive process improvements, while guiding and developing a team of finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
- Prepare and review financial reporting and consolidations in line with US GAAP and/or IFRS, with applicable Canadian reporting requirements.
- Own general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, accruals, intercompany and balance sheet review.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, providing clear commentary and insights to business and finance leadership.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, and support statutory, tax and regulatory filings for US and Canadian entities.
- Support indirect and direct tax requirements, including US sales tax and Canadian GST/HST, in coordination with tax advisors.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and documentation, supporting SOX or equivalent compliance frameworks.




- Partner with North American finance, operations and business teams across time zones to resolve queries and meet reporting deadlines.
- Drive process improvement, standardization and automation across finance workflows.
- Lead, mentor and review the work of finance team members, setting clear priorities and quality standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, controllership or finance operations.
- Hands-on experience supporting global finance operations, preferably for Canadian or US entities.
- Robust working knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Experience with ERP and financial systems (such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with international stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts from the Hyderabad office.

Good to Have

- Direct exposure to Canadian accounting and tax requirements (ASPE / IFRS, GST/HST) or US tax and compliance.
- Experience working in a shared services, GCC or outsourced finance environment serving North American clients.
- Experience with SOX or internal audit frameworks.
- Familiarity with BI and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) or finance automation tools.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring teams of finance professionals. Key Competencies
