Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a senior purchase engineer based in Bengaluru. The engineer will coordinate and lead all purchase activity of the Company with respect to its projects and equipments.

Responsibilities include efficient purchase and supply management covering steel and stainless steel raw materials, engineering goods, motors, gearboxes, fans, blowers, compressors, instrumentaton, hydraulics etc.



The role requires knowledge of mechanical equipments for all types of bulk material handling . Vendor sourcing, evaluation, selection and management, proven negotiation skills, cost knowledge and strong engineering fundamentals are essential job requirements.

The role also involves subcontract management of outsourced manufacturing.

Qualifications

Minimum BE Mechanical with 5-7 years purchase and/or subcontract experience in bulk material handling equipments and systems. Pneumatic conveying exposure will be an advantage. Should be articulate and have excellent communication skills.

- Proficiency in purchase order terms and conditions for engineering goods and systems
- Expertise in engineering and commercial documentation, knowledge of despatch documentation and compliances with all relevant Government statutes
- Experience and exposure to Incoterms and other national and international purchasing and despatch activity
- Excellent problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, and a collaborative mindset
- Prior experience in industrial goods procurement and manufacturing subcontracting with good network of qualified and experienced subcontract shops
