Angel Lane Partners (ALP) is a computational finance, data engineering and AI/ML firm with offices in Dubai, London, Bengaluru and Riyadh. We work with banks, financial institutions and government entities across the GCC.

Role Overview

You will lead credit risk workstreams on GCC bank engagements: owning requirements and solution design, managing the client relationship day to day, running the workstream plan, and supervising junior BAs, data engineers and developers. Engagements cover credit approval automation, rating and scoring frameworks, IFRS 9 ECL, early warning systems and credit risk system implementations. You will report to the engagement lead or partner and support proposals for current work.

Travel The role is based in Bengaluru, with frequent travel to client sites in the GCC, sometimes for several weeks at a time. A valid passport is required.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements and design

- Lead discovery workshops with heads of credit, risk, finance and IT to define scope, requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Own BRDs, FSDs and solution design documents through to client sign-off.
- Design credit solutions: approval workflows and delegated authority, auto-decision rules, rating and scoring frameworks, IFRS 9 staging and ECL processes, early warning indicators and limit monitoring.
- Translate regulatory requirements (CBUAE, QCB, SAMA, Basel) into design and documentation.
- Carry out hands-on analysis in SQL and Python, and build dashboards for client reporting.
- Review data mapping, analysis, test cases and deliverables prepared by the team.

Project management

- Build and maintain the workstream plan,



milestones and dependencies; track effort against budget.
- Maintain the RAID log and escalate risks and issues in time.
- Report status to client steering committees and ALP partners.
- Assess and manage change requests, including their scope and effort impact.
- Coordinate across data engineering, development, model validation and client IT teams.
- Plan and lead SIT and UAT, including entry and exit criteria and defect triage.
- Manage go-live readiness, handover and user training.

Team and business development

- Assign and review work for junior BAs and analysts, and give them feedback.
- Support proposals with scoping, approach, effort estimates and staffing.

Required Skills

- 5+ years in credit risk at a bank, consulting firm or risk software vendor, including at least 2 years in BA or implementation roles.
- At least one credit risk system, process automation or model implementation delivered end to end.
- Project management experience: plans, milestones, effort tracking, RAID management and client status reporting.
- Strong knowledge of PD, LGD, EAD, IFRS 9, Basel capital, credit approval processes and rating models.
- Coding in SQL and Python for data analysis and validation.
- Building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau or similar.
- Experience running client workshops and writing client-facing deliverables.
- Experience leading SIT and UAT.

Preferred Skills

- PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certification.
- FRM or CFA.
- GCC banking experience and familiarity with CBUAE, QCB or SAMA requirements.
- Databricks, AWS or Azure.
- Certifications in BI, ML, cloud or infrastructure.
- Consulting experience managing several client stakeholders at once.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics or a related field; a master's, MBA or PhD is preferred.
- Clear written and spoken English for senior client audiences.
