To program, operate, and monitor robotic welding systems, ensuring quality production, minimum cycle time, and effective utilization of robotic welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Program, operate, and troubleshoot robotic welding systems such as ABB, Yaskawa, and Collaborative Robots (Cobot).
- Develop and modify robot programs for MIG and TIG welding applications.
- Set up welding parameters such as voltage, current, wire feed speed, and welding speed.
- Perform robot teaching, TCP calibration, tool calibration, and touch-up programming.
- Understand robot coordinates, reference points, and welding paths.
- Operate robotic welding machines as per production requirements.
- Identify and rectify welding defects such as porosity, undercut, spatter, and improper weld joints.
- Ensure proper fixture setting, component positioning, and welding accuracy.
- Monitor robot performance and maintain cycle time and productivity.
- Troubleshoot robot alarms, welding faults, and program-related issues.




- Perform preventive maintenance and daily inspection of robotic welding equipment.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to achieve production targets.

Skills Required

- ABB / Yaskawa / Cobot robot programming and operation.
- MIG / TIG robotic welding knowledge.
- Robot teaching and offline/online programming.
- TCP calibration and tool centre point setting.
- Welding parameter setting and optimization.
- Robot troubleshooting and error rectification.
- Knowledge of welding fixtures and jigs.
- Knowledge of welding quality standards.

Qualification

- Relevant experience in robotic welding programming and operation.

Experience

- 3–8 years of experience in robotic welding programming and operation.
- Hands-on experience in ABB / Yaskawa / Cobot welding systems preferred.
