Role Description The Quantity Surveyor at EK Homes will manage and monitor project costs across all phases of residential and commercial developments. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), supporting cost planning and budgeting, tracking variations, and ensuring cost control in line with project objectives. The role involves coordinating with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and vendors to verify quantities, validate invoices, and prepare cost reports for management.

The Quantity

Surveyor will also contribute to tender documentation, assist in contract administration, and support value engineering initiatives. This is a full-time,



on-site role based in Chennai.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid cost control and cost management skills to ensure projects remain within approved budgets.
- Candidates should possess BOQ preparation and quantity take-off skills to support accurate estimates and tender documentation.
- Candidates should possess cost planning and budgeting skills to develop forecasts and financial plans for projects.
- Candidates should possess cost reporting and variance analysis skills to provide clear, timely updates to stakeholders.
- Candidates should ideally have a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying software, along with strong analytical and numerical abilities.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience in residential or commercial real estate projects and knowledge of local construction standards and regulations in Chennai are beneficial.
