Role Description

- Inspect raw materials, steel plates, rolled sections(HR and CR) and other materials as per approved specifications.
- Verify fabrication activities, including cutting, drilling, fit-up, welding and assembly.
- Conduct dimensional inspections of fabricated components as per approved shop sketch/ drawings.
- Monitor welding quality, weld defects and compliance with approved welding procedures.
- Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to resolve quality issues.
- Inspect surface preparation, shot blasting and painting activities, including DFT checks.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and corrective action records.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans),



QAPs and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with third-party inspectors and client representatives during inspections.
- Monitor quality during dispatch and, where required, site erection activities.
- Ensure proper traceability of materials and maintain quality documentation.
- Identify recurring defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Qualifications and preference

- BE/ Diploma Mechanical
- 1-5 years of experience in PEB QA/QC, steel structures, or EPC infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Engineering and Product Quality for PEB and structural steel projects.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in Quality Control, including inspections, testing, and documentation.
- Candidates should possess solid capabilities in Quality Assurance, including process audits and compliance with standards.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Quality Management principles, including continual improvement and root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to steel structures and building construction.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality plans.
- Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in basic quality and reporting tools.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
