Role Description The Physical Design Engineer will work on-site in Bengaluru South in a full-time capacity, contributing to advanced semiconductor design projects.

Responsibilities include implementing and optimizing physical design flows from RTL to GDSII, performing floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure. The role involves close collaboration with logic design and verification teams to ensure design integrity, PPA optimization, and adherence to project specifications. The engineer will conduct physical verification, resolve DRC/LVS issues,



and support mission-critical tapeout tasks.

Daily activities also include tool scripting, design documentation, and active participation in project reviews to maintain high-quality design standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure.
- Candidates should possess experience in Physical Verification, covering DRC, LVS, and sign-off methodologies.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of RTL Design and Logic Design for effective integration into physical implementation flows.
- Candidates should possess understanding of Circuit Design principles to ensure robust, manufacturable, and high-performance layouts.
- Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) and scripting languages such as Tcl, Python, or Perl.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, VLSI, or a related field, with prior experience in chip design projects preferred.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Bengaluru South and manage multiple tasks in quick-paced, tapeout-driven environments.
