Role Description This is a full-time, in office Mechanical Drafter role based in Kochi.

The Mechanical

Drafter will prepare and revise detailed mechanical drawings and engineering layouts for various industrial, commercial, and residential projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating 2D and 3D CAD models, generating fabrication and assembly drawings, and coordinating with design engineers to clarify technical requirements.



The role involves interpreting engineering sketches and specifications, checking drawings for accuracy, completeness, and tolerances, and maintaining organized documentation of design files.

The Mechanical

Drafter will collaborate with project teams to support design reviews, incorporate feedback, and help optimize designs for manufacturability, safety, and performance.

Qualifications

- Strong mechanical drafting skills with proficiency in Mechanical Drawings, Engineering Drawings, and Technical Drawing.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and systems relevant to mechanical and industrial design.
- Understanding of Design Engineering principles, including materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical components.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and client requirements accurately.
- Attention to detail, strong visualization skills, and capability to check drawings for quality and completeness.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Familiarity with industry codes, safety practices, and quality assurance procedures is an advantage.
- Prior experience in consulting, EPC, or industrial project environments will be beneficial.
