Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Experience: 2-4 years | Location: Bengaluru

Design and develop enclosures, heatsinks, and mechanical assemblies for electronic systems using

SolidWorks. Own assigned work from design and thermal analysis through fabrication, vendor coordination, and final hardware integration.

What You’ll Do

- Design enclosures, heatsinks, brackets, and mounting arrangements using SolidWorks.
- Perform thermal analysis to evaluate heat dissipation, airflow, and component temperatures;
- optimise cooling arrangements.
- Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings with dimensions, tolerances, materials, surface
- finishes, and bills of materials.
- Coordinate with fabricators and machining vendors, resolve technical queries, and follow up
- through fabrication, rework, and delivery.
- Inspect fabricated parts for dimensional accuracy, fit, and finish, and ensure readiness for
- assembly.
- Support PCB integration and mounting, including standoffs, connector cut-outs, cable routing,
- clearances, and thermal interfaces.
- Carry out prototype assembly, fitment checks, and thermal testing in coordination with the
- electronics team.




- Maintain design files, drawing revisions, and manufacturing documentation.

What We’re Looking For

- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2-4 years of relevant mechanical design experience, preferably with electronic products or
- equipment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks part modelling, assemblies, sheet-metal design, and production
- drawings.
- Hands-on experience with thermal analysis using SolidWorks Flow Simulation, ANSYS, or
- equivalent tools.
- Understanding of heat transfer, heatsink design, thermal interface materials, and passive and
- forced-air cooling.
- Working knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, CNC machining, sheet-metal fabrication, and
- surface finishing.
- Practical experience working with fabricators and supporting hardware assembly and
- integration.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and ownership of assigned work from design to
- completed hardware.

Nice to Have

- Experience with enclosures for embedded, RF, or industrial electronic systems.
- Familiarity with environmental sealing, EMI/EMC considerations, and vibration-resistant
- mounting.
- Experience validating thermal simulations through physical measurements.
