Role Description The Machine Learning Intern will support the design, implementation, and evaluation of machine learning models used within Weskill’s training content and internal projects. Day-to-day responsibilities may include data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, experimenting with algorithms, and prototyping deep learning models under the guidance of senior team members. The intern will document methodologies, prepare clear reports or presentations on findings, and collaborate with mentors to improve model performance and reliability.

This is an internship role and is fully remote,



offering flexibility for students while providing practical exposure to real-world machine learning workflows and tools.

Qualifications

- Solid foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software development concepts.
- Understanding of core Machine Learning principles, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and feature engineering.
- Basic exposure to Deep Learning frameworks and concepts, including neural networks and common architectures.
- Competence in Statistics, including probability, hypothesis testing, and data analysis methods.
- Ability to apply algorithmic thinking to problem-solving and optimization tasks.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in ML (such as Python) and familiarity with libraries like NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, or TensorFlow/PyTorch.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Solid analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Interest in education technology, online learning, and continuous upskilling is a plus.
