Reports To: Head - Projects / Head - EHS

Role Overview The Lead - EHS will be responsible for driving Setting, Health & Safety initiatives across Data Center construction and operations projects. The role involves developing and implementing EHS strategies, ensuring statutory compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, minimizing risks, and maintaining world-class safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil) or related discipline.
- Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institute.
- NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent international certification preferred.
- Safety certifications and statutory qualifications will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 8-14 years of experience in EHS management within large construction or infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Data Centers, Mission Critical Facilities, Industrial Projects, Power, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, or Large Infrastructure Projects.
- Strong experience in contractor safety management and high-risk construction activities.
- Proven track record of implementing and driving EHS excellence programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and implement EHS management systems across Data Center construction and operational sites.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop site-specific safety plans, risk assessments, HIRA/JSA, emergency response plans, and safe work procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure adherence to EHS requirements.




- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive safety awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, training programs, and behavioral safety initiatives.
- Review work permits, method statements, and project execution plans from an EHS perspective.
- Monitor critical activities such as work at height, lifting operations, electrical works, confined space entry, excavation, and hot work.
- Track and report EHS KPIs, leading indicators, and compliance metrics to management.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure safe project delivery.
- Promote sustainability and environmental compliance practices throughout project execution.
