GEL is setting up a greenfield Integrated Steel Plant at Bhadrawati (Chandrapur) in the state of Maharashtra, having capacity of 0.4 MTPA finished steel, along with 1.2 MTPA Iron Ore Pellet Plant, 65000 NM3/Hr of Syn Gas based on Coal Gasification Technology, and other auxiliary units along with these capacities.

Role Summary

Position: Manager / AGM – Land Acquisition

Industry: Renewable Energy

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Experience:10-12 Years

Responsible for identifying, negotiating and securing land for Solar, Wind and Renewable Energy projects across Maharashtra.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify suitable land parcels and build a strong pipeline of potential land.
- Negotiate with landowners, farmers, brokers and local stakeholders for land purchase/lease.
- Conduct preliminary land due diligence and coordinate title/document verification.
- Coordinate with Revenue, Tehsil, Collectorate, Registration and other Government authorities.
- Handle land-related permissions,



documentation, agreements and registrations.
- Resolve landowner/community issues and ensure smooth land closure.
- Coordinate with Legal, Project Development and Engineering teams.
- Track land acquisition progress, costs and timelines and provide regular MIS to management.

Candidate Profile

- 10-12 years of experience in Land Acquisition / Land & Liaison / Project Development.
- Experience from Renewable Energy, Manufacturing, Chemical, Power, Infrastructure, Cement or similar industries preferred.
- Solid knowledge of Maharashtra land records and revenue processes.
- Good understanding of 7/12, 8A, mutation, land ownership and registration processes.
- Strong negotiation, networking and stakeholder-management skills.
- Hands-on Liasioning experience with local Administration including, Tehsildar, Taluka, Collector's Office, local Police and community as well
- Fluent in Marathi and good Hindi/English.
- Pune ra-based candidate with strong local influence and network.
- Willingness to travel extensively to project locations and rural areas.

Preferred Candidates with hands-on experience in large-scale land acquisition/aggregation for greenfield projects, particularly Solar/Wind/Power projects, will be preferred.

Location: Currently, Pune/ Maharashtra. However, should be open for relocation as per the organization's plan.
