About the Role

As an AMS ESD Expert/Leader, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering ESD solutions for Analog/RF/Power IP, SoC, and system-level projects. The role requires deep knowledge of device physics and hands-on experience across ESD methodology, from concept and design through tape-out, silicon testing, and debugging.

Key Responsibilities

Own ESD architecture, feasibility, and modelling for IP and SoC.

Define ESD protection strategies and chip/IP-level ESD requirements.

Design and integrate ESD protection circuits and devices, including diodes, grounded-gate NMOS, and SCRs.

Develop test structures for ESD and latch-up characterization.

Collaborate with semiconductor foundries on ESD libraries and design rules.

Maintain ESD device libraries for internal and external design teams.





Lead ESD testing and verification, including HBM and CDM.

Drive ESD debugging and problem-solving during design and manufacturing.

Maintain ESD documentation, test results, and compliance records.

Key Requirements

5–15 years of deep, hands-on ESD experience.

Robust practical experience in ESD protection design, testing, and characterization.

Deep understanding of transistor behaviour and device physics.

Experience with at least 2 of the following technologies: CMOS, FinFET, BCD.

Knowledge of HBM, CDM, MM and IEC 61000-4-2 ESD testing models.

Experience with EDA tools such as Virtuoso, Calibre, Allegro, PERC and Pathfinder.

Knowledge of IEC 61000-4-2 and ISO 10605 standards.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience collaborating with design engineers and semiconductor foundries

Preferred

Patents and publications in IEEE journals would be highly appreciated.
