Role Description The Electrical Utility Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for the reliable operation of plant utilities and related electrical systems. The role involves monitoring and maintaining utility systems such as steam, water treatment, and wastewater treatment facilities to support continuous manufacturing operations. The engineer will plan and execute preventive maintenance activities, troubleshoot utility-related issues, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime.

Daily responsibilities include inspecting equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, optimizing energy usage, and preparing reports on utility performance and maintenance activities.



The role also includes participation in utility system upgrades and supporting audits and inspections as required.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong experience in utilities operations, including overall plant Utilities management and optimization.
- Candidates should possess hands-on skills in Steam system operation, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Candidates should possess knowledge and practical experience in Wastewater Treatment processes, equipment, and regulatory compliance.
- Candidates should possess skills in Water Treatment systems, including quality control, system monitoring, and equipment upkeep.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Preventive Maintenance planning, execution, and documentation for utility and electrical equipment.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing facility utilities, preferably in large-scale or high-tech environments.
- Strong understanding of safety standards, environmental regulations, and energy management practices.
- Ability to read technical drawings, use maintenance management software, and prepare clear technical reports.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
