Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Site Engineer (Geotechnical) role based in Chennai. The role involves supervising geotechnical activities at project sites, including soil investigations, foundation works, and related construction operations.

The Civil Site

Engineer will coordinate with structural and design teams, ensure adherence to quality standards, and monitor implementation of engineering specifications. Daily responsibilities include site inspections, documentation of test results, reporting progress, resolving technical issues, and supporting safe work practices. The role requires effective communication with project stakeholders and active participation in planning and execution to meet project timelines.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong on-site experience managing geotechnical or civil engineering works, including field investigations and foundation construction.
- Candidates should possess clear and qualified communication skills for coordinating with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess practical quality control skills to verify construction materials, processes, and compliance with design and safety standards.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of structural engineering principles relevant to foundation design and interaction with superstructures.
- Candidates should possess a solid civil engineering background, ideally as qualified civil engineers with site execution experience.
- Beneficial qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering, familiarity with geotechnical testing methods, and proficiency in relevant design and analysis software.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, prepare technical reports, and work safely in varied site conditions is highly valued.
- Previous experience in infrastructure projects such as bridges, highways, railways, or industrial structures in India is an added advantage.
