Role Description The Chinese Trainer will deliver structured Chinese language instruction to learners, with a focus on middle school–level language proficiency and foundational language arts skills. This part-time, on-site role is based in Chandigarh, India, and involves planning and conducting engaging classroom sessions, creating and adapting curriculum materials, and assessing learner progress through assignments, quizzes, and interactive activities. The trainer will use a variety of teaching methods to support different learning styles, provide clear explanations of grammar and vocabulary, and encourage learners to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Chinese.





The role also includes maintaining classroom discipline, offering constructive feedback, and collaborating with the team to refine teaching resources and methodologies.

Qualifications

- Ability to teach Chinese effectively at the middle school level and adapt instruction to learners’ age and proficiency (Middle School, Teaching).
- Experience designing lesson plans and learning activities aligned with educational standards and learner needs (Curriculum Development).
- Strong foundation in language arts and linguistic concepts to support grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing instruction (Language Arts).
- Excellent communication skills, including clear spoken and written English and Chinese, and the ability to explain concepts in an accessible manner (Communication).
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing); relevant teaching certification or training in language education is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chinese language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field preferred; prior classroom or tutoring experience is highly beneficial.
- Ability to manage a classroom, use basic educational technology, and work collaboratively with colleagues in an on-site environment.
