Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a CHA Export Documentation skilled with 2–5 years of experience working with a custom house broker. The role involves preparing and verifying export documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customs regulations, and coordinating with internal teams, clients, and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities include filing shipping bills, managing online customs systems, tracking document status, and resolving documentation discrepancies. The team member will liaise with shipping lines, transporters, and other stakeholders to support timely cargo movement and clearance. The role also includes maintaining organized records, updating clients on shipment progress,



and contributing to process improvements in export documentation and customs handling.

Qualifications

- Experience in export documentation, including preparation of shipping bills, invoices, packing lists, and related customs forms.
- Knowledge of Indian customs regulations, procedures, and compliance requirements, preferably with hands-on exposure to CHA or custom house broker operations.
- Familiarity with online customs and port systems (e.g., ICEGATE, terminal portals) and basic understanding of international trade terms and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and organizational skills for managing multiple shipments and deadlines.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work with clients, customs officials, shipping lines, and internal operations teams.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and take ownership of assigned documentation tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort working with logistics or ERP software tools.
- Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, commerce, or a related field; CHA certification or relevant customs training is an advantage.
- Prior experience in freight forwarding, export operations, or logistics companies, especially in the Mumbai region, is preferred.
