Role Overview

We are looking for a Buying & Merchandising professional with 2–4 years of experience and an understanding of knitwear to support product planning, vendor coordination, production tracking, and inventory execution. You will be responsible for managing purchase cycles, following up on production timelines, coordinating quality inspections, and ensuring timely product availability. This role involves working closely with sourcing, production, design, and accounts teams in a high-growth D2C apparel brand.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

- Coordinate with knitwear vendors for production planning, buying requirements, and regular updates.
- Create, track, and close Purchase Orders (POs) in coordination with the accounts team.
- Track OTIF (On Time In Full) PO fulfilment and ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Monitor product costing, fabric consumption, cutting accuracy, and material utilisation.
- Track PO 1st Delivery TAT and follow up with vendors to ensure timely dispatches.
- Monitor D2S (Design to Shelf) timelines from product development to GRN.
- Track OOS% and Sales Leakage Value to support timely replenishment and inventory availability.
- Coordinate in-line, mid-line, and PDI quality inspections at vendor locations.
- Maintain vendor performance records, inspection reports, and production updates.




- Support internal audits using Auditflo checklists and ensure process compliance.
- Coordinate with sourcing, production, design, and accounts teams for smooth buying and merchandising operations.

Who You Are

- 2-4 years of experience in buying, merchandising, apparel production, or vendor management.
- Degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, Merchandising, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong coordination and vendor management abilities.
- Understanding of production timelines, apparel quality standards, and merchandising workflows.
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable with data tracking and reporting.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in resolving bottlenecks.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Curious to learn how products move from design to shelves and how buying impacts business.
