Role Description The Agency Development Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Pune City, focused on building and managing a high-performing life insurance agency network. This role involves recruiting, onboarding, and developing agency partners and advisors to achieve sales, productivity, and quality targets.

The Agency Development

Manager designs and delivers training and coaching interventions, monitors performance metrics, and supports partners in need-based selling and compliant servicing practices. Daily activities include field visits, joint calls, pipeline and activity reviews, and close collaboration with internal sales, product,



and operations teams. The role also requires regular reporting, forecasting, and implementation of local business development initiatives aligned with company strategy.

Qualifications

- Strong agency development and sales management skills, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of advisors and partners.
- Experience in life insurance or financial services, with familiarity in protection and long-term savings products and need-based selling.
- Capability in training, coaching, and mentoring to build skills and drive consistent, ethical sales practices.
- Proficiency in relationship management, stakeholder coordination, and customer-centric service delivery.
- Solid analytical, planning, and reporting skills, including comfort with sales dashboards, targets, and forecasting.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities, with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or relevant certifications in insurance or sales management are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an on-site, field-intensive role in Pune City, with flexibility to travel within the region as required.
