Enterprise AEM environments require robust CI/CD pipelines to manage code quality, automated testing, and secure multi-tenant deployments:
- Azure DevOps Pipelines:
- Building YAML-based multi-stage pipelines (azure-pipelines.yml).
- Setting up CI triggers, pull request validation gates, and workplace-specific variable groups for secrets management.
- Integrating automated unit tests (AEM Mocks/JUnit) and code quality scans (SonarQube) into the PR workflow.
- Adobe Cloud Manager Integration:
- Managing monorepo structures, Git submodules, or automated sync pipelines that feed into Adobe Cloud Manager.
- Configuring Dispatcher validation scripts (validator.sh) locally via Docker to catch syntax/rewrite errors prior to deployment.
- Package Management & Security:
Strict use of Filevault package filters (filter.xml) with proper modes (merge/update) to prevent cross-tenant deployment data loss.
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) & Platform Architecture
- Core AEM Architecture: Mastery of OSGi (Declarative Services), Apache Sling, Java Content Repository (JCR/Jackrabbit Oak), and HTL (HTML Template Language).
- Component & Template Governance: Advanced knowledge of Editable Templates, Policies, Style Systems, and the Core Components proxy pattern.
- Multi-Tenancy & Configuration: Experience with Context-Aware Configurations (CAConfig), multi-tenant repository structuring (/apps, /conf, /content), and isolated Dispatcher farm/vhost setups.
- Content Fragments & Experience Fragments: Designing headless or hybrid content delivery models using AEM’s GraphQL/REST APIs.
