Position- Manager

Department- Project Procurement

Education – B-Tech (Civil/Mech) with 10 to 15 years’ experience

Other than Civil/Mechanical will not work

No BA, BSc, CA required

1. Should be individual contributor. No team member will be assigned to him. He has to work himself only.

2. Should be from steel industry background

3. Responsible for end-to-end procurement and contracting of civil, structural and infrastructure works for industrial projects, covering vendor identification, tendering, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiations, contract finalization and post-order commercial management.

4. The role requires a strong combination of civil engineering knowledge and commercial/procurement expertise, with the ability to independently handle large-value packages and work closely with Engineering, Projects, Finance and Site teams.

5. Undertake detailed rate analysis, benchmarking and cost estimation before commercial negotiations.

6. Lead negotiations covering price, payment terms, completion schedule, mobilization, retention, security deposits, ABG/PBG, LD, taxes and other commercial terms.

7. Prepare commercial recommendations and obtain necessary approvals for contract/PO placement.

8. Handle different contracting models including item-rate/BOQ,



lump-sum and rate contracts.

9. Should be from Project Procurement or MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) segment who can handle Capex, Opex procurement, spares and consumables for steel industries.

10.Should be able to handle complete cycle of PR to PO himself, no team member will be provided.

11.Should be able to handle post ordering activities also like payment request, delivery tracking, SRR clearance, quality claims, closure of debit balance etc.

12. Should be having hands on working experience in SAP MM module. Like making PO, payment request, LC requests etc. (most significant).

13.Should be having hands on working experience in excel specially advance excel commands. (most important).

14.Should have handled contracts for capital equipment and important contract clauses.

15.Candidate is willing to work late evening and willing to travel.
