We are seeking an experienced Scala Back-End Software Engineer to join a cross-functional product team responsible for a customer-facing platform. The engineer will focus on building and scaling robust, highly available back-end services in a cloud-native, event-driven environment.
The role requires robust autonomy, solid architectural understanding, and close collaboration with Product, Front-End, and SRE teams.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services
Implement clean, maintainable, and testable code (primarily Scala and Java)
Ensure high standards for code quality, reliability, and performance
Required Knowledge And Experience
- 10 to 18 years of experience in Software Engineering.
- Strong experience with Scala (Pekko/Akka, Cats,
Cats Effect) and/or Java or Preferably Python knowledge
- Practical experience with Event Sourcing, CQRS, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Experience designing and scaling microservice architectures
- Building and maintaining high-performance, resilient APIs
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture
- Cloud-native development on AWS
- Containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Experience working in Agile product development teams.
