Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce DevOps Engineer with solid expertise in Salesforce release management, Gearset CI/CD pipelines, Git integration, automated testing, sandbox refresh management, and Salesforce data masking. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable deployment pipelines, ensuring secure data management, and improving release quality across Salesforce environments.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Gearset, Salesforce CLI, Metadata API, scripting, deployment automation, data masking, release governance, and enterprise compliance requirements, including SOX controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, and maintain Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using Gearset and Git-based version control.
- Manage Salesforce deployments across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Implement automated testing, regression test suites, Apex testing, static code analysis, and release validation.
- Configure deployment approvals, release quality gates, rollback procedures, and audit evidence collection.
- Manage Salesforce sandbox refresh activities, including refresh planning, execution, validation, and post-refresh checks.
- Use Salesforce CLI and Metadata API to automate metadata retrieval, validation, deployment, and environment management.
- Enforce credential security, least-privilege access, secure integrations, and appropriate secrets management.
- Maintain deployment logs, change traceability, release documentation, and SOX-compliant release evidence.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures,



deployment errors, test failures, and metadata conflicts; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Salesforce developers, QA teams, release managers, security teams, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth releases.
- Continuously improve deployment reliability, automation coverage, release efficiency, and operational standards.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- Salesforce DevOps: Strong experience in Salesforce release management and deployment automation.
- Gearset: Hands-on experience building and managing Gearset CI/CD pipelines, deployment validation, approvals, and data masking.
- Git Integration: Version control, branching strategies, change tracking, merge management, and conflict resolution.
- Salesforce CLI & Metadata API: Metadata retrieval, deployment, validation, and environment automation.
- Automated Testing: Apex unit testing, regression testing, automated validation, and static code analysis.
- Sandbox Refresh Management: Planning, execution, post-refresh configuration, data validation, and troubleshooting.
- Data Masking: Sensitive-field discovery, deterministic masking, selective data deployment, masking verification, and Gearset masking configuration.
- Relationship-Aware Data Management:



Experience managing related Salesforce data involving Account, Case, Activity, and associated objects.
- Scripting & Automation: PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python scripting.
- API Automation: REST API integration and automation of deployment or administrative workflows.
- Release Governance: Deployment approvals, release quality gates, rollback procedures, audit evidence, and change traceability.
- Security & Compliance: Credential security, least-privilege access, SOX controls, and secure handling of sensitive data.

Required Experience

- 6-10 years of relevant experience in Salesforce development, DevOps, release engineering, or deployment automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Gearset and Salesforce CI/CD implementation.
- Practical experience managing sandbox refreshes and Salesforce data masking.
- Proven ability to automate deployment and validation workflows using CLI tools, APIs, and scripts.
- Experience implementing automated testing, release controls, and deployment troubleshooting.
- Understanding of enterprise security, audit requirements, and compliance-driven release processes.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience supporting enterprise Salesforce environments with multiple sandboxes and frequent releases.
- Knowledge of Salesforce metadata dependencies and deployment best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD governance, release metrics, failure analysis, and process optimization.
- Familiarity with sensitive-data protection, privacy controls, and production-to-sandbox data management.
