Role Description The Principal will provide academic, administrative, and cultural leadership to the CBSE school, ensuring alignment with Agastya Academy’s Waldorf-inspired philosophy and holistic education model. This full-time, in office role based in Erode involves overseeing curriculum implementation, CBSE compliance, and teaching quality across grades, while promoting experiential learning that connects academics with art, agriculture, and technology. The Principal will manage school operations, including staff recruitment, mentoring, performance management, and professional development, as well as coordinate closely with boarding and dorm parents to support learners’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.





Day-to-day responsibilities include setting academic goals, monitoring learning outcomes, maintaining discipline rooted in “freedom with responsibility,” engaging with families and the wider community, and fostering a safe, inclusive campus environment. The Principal will also lead strategic initiatives related to sustainable living, sports programs, and co-curricular activities to enrich the school experience.

Qualifications

- Strong academic and administrative experience in CBSE schools, including familiarity with CBSE regulations, affiliation processes, curriculum planning, and exam oversight.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience mentoring teachers, building collaborative teams, resolving conflicts, and maintaining a positive school culture.
- Background in holistic or alternative education approaches (such as Waldorf or experiential learning), with the ability to integrate academics, arts, nature, and values-based education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage constructively with learners, families, staff, and external stakeholders in diverse contexts.
- Demonstrated capability in strategic planning, school operations management, and policy implementation, including safety, child protection, and residential life oversight.
