Job Description: Bartender/ Assistant Bartender/ Trainee / Bar Leader

Location: Mumbai and Pune

Department: Food & Beverage Bar Operations

Reports to: Bar Manager / Restaurant Manager

Role Overview

The Barman is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage experiences by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in line with brand standards. The role requires solid product knowledge, speed, consistency, guest engagement, and adherence to hygiene and safety norms.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, and beers as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
Engage with guests, recommend beverages, and upsell premium products.
Maintain bar mise-en-place, cleanliness, and organization at all times.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of bar inventory.
Monitor stock levels and assist in requisitions and stock counts.
Follow all safety, hygiene, and FSSAI guidelines.
Ensure responsible service of alcohol in compliance with local laws.
Coordinate with service staff and kitchen for smooth operations.




Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve basic complaints.
Support opening/closing procedures of the bar.

Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
Understanding of spirits, wines, and bar equipment.
Excellent communication and guest-handling skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a quick-paced workplace.
Attention to detail and consistency in presentation.
Team player with a positive attitude.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 24 years of experience as a Barman/Bartender in a reputed bar, restaurant, or hotel.
Formal training/certification in bartending preferred.
Knowledge of POS systems is an advantage.
